When to Go

Being so varied in topography and altitude, almost any time of year is good for travel in at least some regions. The conventional dry season is from October to April, but rainfall is unpredictable and can occur frequently during the drier season, from June to September, when plant life flourishes and Los Llanos floods. Temperatures are tropically warm to hot in low lying areas, often with high humidity, and cooler in the Andes, sometimes becoming quite cold at night.
