South Water Cay

Approximately 14 miles east of Dangriga and forming part of a marine reserve, the 15-acre island is one of the most beautiful on the reef. One can snorkel right from the beach, visit other cays or fin to the edge of the shelf where the  deep ocean begins. There are just three properties on the island, which is very quiet and peaceful – don’t go if you want nightlife or jet skis.

Situated on the lovely southern end of the cay, with its coral sand beach and coconut palms, the detached bungalows and rooms are simple  but comfortable and use sustainable technology such as solar power, composting toilets and captured rainwater. There is excellent snorkelling right off the beach, and diving can be arranged.
