Our great value tour of Papua New Guinea – which includes a great many guided tours and practically all meals – reveals to you the stunning scenery, exotic birds of paradise and unique tribal cultures of the Southern and Western Highlands followed by the coral reefs and volcanoes of Rabaul. Meet the Melpa people and the spectacularly coiffed Huli Wigmen and learn of their traditions and customs. Search for the beautiful birds of paradise in their natural environment.  Finally visit Rabaul, on the beautiful volcanic island of New Britain, with time at leisure for snorkelling, diving, fishing and (with luck) views of the erupting volcano which in the past laid waste to the town. They will appeal to those happy to find their own international flights (perhaps using accumulated Air Miles or favourite websites), visit some local sites independently, search out local restaurants, and decide what excursions to do and when to do them.

What is Included in the Price?
Meet and greet, transfers, domestic flights, accommodation, most breakfasts and a number of lunches and dinners (as stated), complimentary on-site activities (eg, use of swimming pool, snorkel gear, canoes, nature trails), inclusive tours which are part of a lodge’s general package (eg, game drives in the Pantanal), and a variable number of chargeable tours and excursions which are either too hard or unreliable to organise on the spot, or which we consider essential to enjoy fully the destination.

What is Not Included in the Price?
International flights (we shall be delighted, of course, to quote for flights if you like), optional tours and excursions (if there are any you wish to include, just let us know), and some breakfasts, lunches and dinners (normally where there are alternative dining options).
