Appealing to those with limited time and budget yet wishing to experience something special, this compact itinerary focuses on two exceptional natural wonders: the species-rich rainforests of Amazonia and the enchanted isles of the Galapagos.  With excellent guides, good mainland accommodation and a charming schooner in which to cruise the islands, stimulation and enjoyment in the Amazon and Galapagos are assured.

 

 Day 
  1. Depart London.  Fly via Madrid to Quito.  Met and tfr to hotel.  O/n Nu House, BB.
  2. Fly to Coca.  Tfr to lodge. O/n Sacha Jungle Lodge, FB.
  3. Day for various guided excursions. O/n Sacha Jungle Lodge, FB.
  4. Day for various guided excursions. O/n Sacha Jungle Lodge, FB.
  5. Fly back to Quito.  O/n Nu House, BB.
  6. Fly to Galapagos Islands. Board yacht M/S Cachalote for a SEVEN nights’ cruise around the islands, visiting all the major highlights. Owing to new National Park regulations two alternating itineraries are operated (see below for details). O/n Cachalote, FB.
  7. Galapagos Islands cruise. O/n Cachalote, FB.
  8. Galapagos Islands cruise. O/n Cachalote, FB.
  9. Galapagos Islands cruise. O/n Cachalote, FB.
  10. Galapagos Islands cruise. O/n Cachalote, FB.

Thu: Plazas and Santa Fe.
Fri: San Cristobal - Cerro Brujo, Galapaguera and El Junco.
Sat: Espanola - Gardner Bay and Punta Suarez.
Sun: Floreana - Punta Cormorant, Devil's Crown and Post Office Bay.
Mon: Santiago - Dragon Hill and Sullivan Bay.
Tue: Genovesa - Prince Phillip's Steps and Darwin Bay.
Wed: Santa Cruz - Turtle Cove. Return to Baltra.

Cachalote itinerary 2 - Fernandina
Wed: Baltra. Santa Cruz - Highlands or Charles Darwin Research Centre.
Thu: Sombrero Chino and Rabida.
Fri: Isabela - Puerto Villamil, Tintoreras and Sierra Negra Volcano.
Sat: Isabela - Punta Moreno and Elizabeth Bay.
Sun: Isabela - Urbina Bay and Tagus Cove.
Mon: Fernandina - Punta Espinosa. Isabela - Punta Vicente Roca.
Tue: Santiago - Puerto Egas and Bartolome.
Wed: North Seymour. Return to Baltra.
