AMAZON CRUISE: IQUITOS TO PACAYA SAMIRIA NATIONAL RESERVE
Description: The M/V Aqua is a luxurious riverboat offering suites-only Amazon cruises to the wildlife rich Pacaya Samiria National Reserve. Accompanied by three naturalist guides explore small inlets and winding river systems, and encounter local people living in villages as they have for centuries. Three-, four- and seven-night itineraries are available.

Itinerary (June - November low water season):
Day 1:	Afternoon arrival in Iquitos and transfer to M/V Aqua. (D)

Day 2:	Morning exploration of the Tahuayo River and Charo Lake. In the afternoon visit the Yacapana (or Iguana) Islands and search for grey and pink freshwater dolphins. (FB)

Day 3:	In the morning learn about the sustainable resource management projects in the area, and hike deep in to primary rainforest. The afternoon is spent exploring the National Reserve, looking for some of the 13 primates and 200 species of birds which can be found here. (FB)

Day 4:	Early morning exploration of Ucayali River and visit Yucuruche Lake to see the giant Victoria Regia water lillies. After breakfast visit the village of the Cocama Indians. The afternoon is spent exploring the town of Nauta. (FB)

Day 5:	Spend the day exploring the Ucayali River. (FB)

Day 6:	In the morning learn about subsistence farming from the occupants of Hatum Posa village, and explore the rainforest to learn about the fruits and medicinal properties of the forest. In the afternoon experience the abundant wildlife of the Pacaya River and Yanayacu Lake. (FB)

Day 7:	Continue to explore the Pacaya River. In the afternoon visit a native village. (FB)

Day 8:	There is the opportunity for a final excursion before disembarking in Iquitos. (B)
