Air-Cruise with Ocean Nova

CLASSIC ANTARCTICA AIR-CRUISE
Description: Fly from Punta Arenas, Chile over Cape Horn and the turbulent waters of the Drake Passage to King George Island, the largest island in the South Shetland archipelago and gateway to the White Continent. Board the Ocean Nova, an ice classified expedition vessel and spend six days navigating along the Antarctic Peninsula before flying back to Punta Arenas.

Itinerary:
Day 1:	Arrive in Punta Arenas. Welcome dinner and overnight. (D)

Day 2:	Fly (1.5 hrs) to King George Island (South Shetland Islands). Tour around the area of Frei Chilean Base and Bellingshausen Russian Base. Afternoon embarkation on expedition vessel. (FB)

Day 3 - 6:	Explore the South Shetland Islands and the western coast of the Antarctic Peninsula. Visits might include Livingston Island, Port Lockroy, Petermann Island, Paradise Bay, Cuverville and Deception Island amongst others. The target will be the crossing of the Lemaire Channel and Latitude 65 degrees South. (FB)

Day 7:	Return to King George Island and fly back to Punta Arenas. (B)
