Osa Peninsula

The Osa is a large peninsula of true wet Pacific rainforest and still relatively pristine. It contains Corcovado National Park, the wildest and most biodiverse of all the nation’s reserves. Nature walks will normally reveal many different mammal, reptile and bird species, and offshore one can take a boat to Cano Island for snorkelling and often spot playful pods of dolphins, breaching humpback whales and gliding manta rays. It is our favourite location and a mandatory one for those wishing to experience the top wildlife environment in Costa Rica.

Casa Corcovado
Bordering the Corcovado National Park, the lodge is spectacularly set atop a small bluff just back from the rocky beach. There are a private forest reserve with trails, a swimming pool and wonderful ocean views. Excursions to the park can begin at the ranger station and end at the lodge, making a very enjoyable natural history circuit.

Lapa Rios
Situated along a high jungle ridge on the Golfo Dulce side of the Osa, this is the premier luxury jungle lodge in Costa Rica. Very comfortable rooms are augmented by expert guides and easily visible wildlife such as sloths and capuchin monkeys, which often appear right outside your windows.
