REEF AND RAINFOREST'S BARE NECESSITIES TOUR OF BRAZIL

Tailor Made Sample Itinerary No.7

This diverse journey starts in the lively colonial city of Salvador with its beautiful historic centre and vibrant culture. Explore cobblestone streets lined by pastel houses, walk barefoot along sandy beaches and experience the Afro-Brazilian heritage which manifests itself in martial arts, religion, food, music and dance. Iguacu Falls is a must on any itinerary to Brazil - explore independently the panoramic views from Brazil and exciting rainforest trails on the Argentine side. Then the pace and focus of the tour changes with four nights at a converted ranch in the wetlands of the Pantanal, South America’s best wildlife destination by far. On game drives and rides aided by a naturalist guide, species regularly seen include capybara, giant anaconda, tapir, giant anteater and hyacinth macaws. This tour of highlights ends with three full days in Rio de Janeiro to laze on its famous beaches and visit some of the city’s iconic sites.

BARE NECESSITIES TOURS:

This tour is part of our new collection of Bare Necessities sample tailor-made tours where you decide what to do when, while staying in a great selection of accommodation and benefiting from our usual high standards of service.

Why Are These Tours Different?
Our new range of Bare Necessities itineraries provide you with all the essentials for a successful holiday on the ground at an agreeably low price. They will appeal to those happy to find their own international flights (perhaps using accumulated Air Miles or favourite websites), visit some local sites independently, search out local restaurants, and decide what excursions to do and when to do them.

What is Included in the Price?
Meet and greet, transfers, domestic flights, accommodation, most breakfasts and a number of lunches and dinners (as stated), complimentary on-site activities (eg, use of swimming pool, snorkel gear, canoes, nature trails), inclusive tours which are part of a lodge’s general package (eg, game drives in the Pantanal), and a variable number of chargeable tours and excursions which are either too hard or unreliable to organise on the spot, or which we consider essential to enjoy fully the destination.

What is Not Included in the Price?
International flights (we shall be delighted, of course, to quote for flights if you like), optional tours and excursions (if there are any you wish to include, just let us know), and some breakfasts, lunches and dinners (normally where there are alternative dining options).
